Study of Genetic Diversity of Some Allium L. Species Based on ISSR Markers in Kurdistan Province

Genus Allium L. contains very taxonomically complex sections, especially the subgenus Melanocrommyum. The systematic position of species in each section has been revised many times over time. In present study, relationship between 32 ecotypes belonging to 10 different was investigated using ISSR markers. nine primers used produced 166 polymorphic bands (average 18 per primer). Among used, ISSR873 primer with 27 made most, and ISSR4 two had lowest bands. PIC markers ranged from 0.04 0.43. Cluster analysis by UPGMA method based on molecular divided studied into four groups. clustering principal coordinate results showed that most morphologically similar were grouped closed clusters. According Dice similarity coefficient, highest percentage shown stipitatum saralicum (72 percent) Melanocrommyum subgenus, obtained tripedale iranicum (12 percent). belong Nectaroscordum, which are placed separate Based results, Pseudoprason, Melanocrommyum, Procerallium sections affinity. general, it can be concluded useful for classifying have sufficient potential phylogenetic studies species. addition, due significant genetic diversity among wild species, this future breeding programs crop.
